Laura Lowenthal
MSW & CHIEF OF STAFF
Laura grew up in Mountain Lakes, NJ, graduating from Mountain Lakes High School. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Spanish & English with a minor in psychology from Skidmore College and received a Masters Degree in Social Work from Rutgers College in New Jersey. During her earlier post-undergraduate years, Laura worked in a variety of fields from legal to sports marketing, eventually finding herself running one of the largest grant programs in the state of Maine as the Executive Director. The program, Community Partnership for Older Adults, was funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Laura ran the program for ten years and had numerous grantees that she was responsible for throughout the country.
As The Maine Divorce Group's Chief of Staff, she runs the day to day operations of the law firm and manages the firm's non-lawyer staff. She also assists our clients in finding and making recommendations for counselors and therapists for deep-seated emotional issues that are best addressed through the therapeutic model. Laura has an extensive background in therapy models and while she is not a practicing therapist, her background and contacts have proven invaluable for guiding our clients through the tough emotional challenges of family law.
